What is Sports Massage?

A form of massage which utilises specific techniques and stretches to help obtain maximum performance and physical conditioning with less chance of injury or pain.  It increases power, endurance and flexibility both before and after an event or workout.

Despite its name, sports massage is not only for those who take regular exercise. All of us are likely to suffer from muscular tension or discomfort at some point in our lives. Sitting hunched over a computer, driving all day, lifting heavy items, repetitive occupational activities, postural problems or even a trip or fall all result in muscular pain and tightness.

What are the treatments that I offer?

Maintenance Massage

Weekly maintenance sports massage eases pain brought about by intensive training.  It keeps muscles flexible and ready for future competition.

Pre-Event Massage

Massage before an event aims to reduce tension in tight muscles and increase flexibility of muscle groups which is important to prevent injury.

Post-Event Massage

Massage after an event aims to relax tight muscle groups, stimulate circulation and reduce potential soreness.
